
Matt Adams spoke on 'The Impact of Technology on Creativity' at The Making of a Creative City, International Forum in Taipei on 18 December. Keynote speakers included: Chris Smith, MP, former minister of DCMS, UK and Mr. Charles Landry, Director of COMEDIA. 'The Making of a Creative City' was sponsored by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Taipei City Government in association with British Council Taipei.

Blast Theory has been invited to make a conceptual proposal in response to the Museum's Dana Centre as part of SMAP: Big Ideas. The group is proposing a season of events exploring fear titled You Are Afraid. It will be presented alongside three other commissioned ideas at a free public event.

Nick Tandavanitj has recently completed his Arts and Humanities Research Board Fellowship at the University of Nottingham. Nick worked with Adam Drozd and Steve Benford researching social and artistic uses of mobile phones. A website documenting the work is now online.

Blast Theory in collaboration with the Mixed Reality Lab were recently nominated for two awards in this year's BAFTA Interactive Awards. Uncle Roy All Around You has been nominated for Interactive Arts and for Technical and Social Innovation.
